I went on my first big international trip back in 2004. I have been hooked ever since. Through various jobs, volunteer positions and a lot of luck, I have been able to continue exploring and documenting the beautiful world we live in.

My Ideal Destination: O'Hare Airport, June 19th, 2004. This is where I wrote my first entry into my first leather bound travel journal (a gift from my older sister) and where it all began. The traveling. The documenting. The unimaginable personal growth. I would love to be back in that time and place so that I could do it all over again. I suppose that by applying for this internship, I am attempting to recapture that ideal destination. But since time travel is not possible (yet), I would love to backpack through South-East Asia, hike the Incan Trail, go on safari in Africa, see Abu Simbel and have a cup of coffee in Seattle. I've never been to Seattle.
